A Quick Q&A with Kat Benson
We recently caught up with our Nitto and Enkei Brand Partner Kat Benson at the CRC Speedshow, where she took part in the Women in Motorsport display.
The display featured and celebrated 20 of New Zealand's top female racers, motorsport organisers and personalities. It was fantastic to see the ladies being recognised for the huge contribution they make to motorsport in NZ and globally.
What was your motivation to build the Burgerfuel Evo? "The Burgerfuel Evo was built and designed with the intention to progress alongside me as a driver, as I further my skills within the sport. From the bottom up this car reflects my personality and drive with ease of shift to another motorsport discipline."
What would you say the biggest achievement in your Motorsport Career so far has been? "Definitely the title of NZ Superlap Pro Street Champion 2014!"
Who's inspired you along the way? "I have always followed, admired and respected Emma Gilmour for her talent in the motorsport industry."
So, lastly - what's the ultimate goal? "Sky's the limit! Play hard, work hard and dream big. My immediate goal is to represent New Zealand at The Australian World Time Attack. Targa and Rally have always interested me as well."
