The Pirelli Porsche Series Prize Giving

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Porsche Club NZ and their relationship with Pirelli, an Annual Awards Dinner was held at Auckland Sails Restaurant on Saturday 14th May 2016.

The Pirelli Porsche NZ series for 2015/2016 had over 30 competitors during the season. The overall winner was Mat Whittaker in his Porsche 991 Carrera Cup car who was presented with a limited edition Pirelli wind tunnel tyre trophy by YHI’s Pirelli Brand Manager, Glenn Hicks.

Kevin Etches took second place in his Porsche 997 Carrera Cup car and David Mackrell third in the Porsche 997 GT3 Cup car.

Kevin Etches took second place and David Mackrell third. Brian McGovern was first in Class A and Michael Neville was first in Class B and also Rookie of the year.

The 2016 / 2017 season is looking positive with more cars expected to join the series and around in the South island!
