Riding for the Disabled (NZRDA) is a charitable organisation responsible for 55 RDA groups around the country, providing interaction with horses to develop increased ability, independence and self worth for children and adults with physical, intellectual, emotional and social challenges.

Totara Park RDA is run by some very committed volunteers along with therapists, instructors and a horse manager. Training of volunteers, coaches and therapists is provided by NZRDA qualified trainers to ensure that all volunteers have the knowledge and skills to provide programmes that are safe and meet the needs of riders and horses.

In recognition of the valuable work RDA does for the community YHI is proud to support Totara Park RDA and has sponsored the care of Hershey - a horse that participates in the program.
